About us

The association „Frauen helfen Frauen" was founded in 1977 to draw public attention towards (domestic) violence against women. Since 1979 the association leads the first independent counselling centre in Nordrhein-Westfalen for women and girls in any kind of trouble.

The association seeks to minimize any disadvantages of women and girls in any area of public and private life. We support women and girls in finding solutions and organize their lifes independently. We – the counselling team - are four female social workers with different additional qualifications.
